This week we had our fingerprints done for or homestudy. We have sent in our paperwork for extensive background checks, written lengthy autobiographies, gotten references letters, family photos, and got certified copies of our important documents (marriage certificates, birth certificates, etc.) We are having our full physical next week and then the big one.... our homestudy. We are racing against time to get all of this done so our profile can go live ASAP. Despite all the set backs though... I trust Heavenly Father completely. Us starting this process any sooner was not by choice. There were a lot of things we needed in place before moving forward. Some things temporal.... some emotional.... some spiritual. Adoption is not for the faint of heart so when making the decision to adopt you have to be prepared in all areas. Several times Brett and I have sat down to discuss if the time was right to adopt and several times we didn't feel like it was. We didn't always know why it wasn't the right time.... we just felt like we needed to wait a bit more time. We are SOOOO glad we are ready now!! I hope they can feel our love already.
Hopefully our paths will cross soon.
