I have been on the hunt for a desk for a while. A desk that would be a fun DIY project and a learning experience at the same time. SOOOOO.... I looked on craigslist and found this gem for $20!
First thing I did was to take all the handles off and sand it down really good with an electric sander. Then I put on a primer, let it dry completely, and then sanded it again. After I got all the sand dust off I put on another coat of primer, and then pained it white with some heavy duty paint. I spray painted to handles black and when everything was all dry I put it back together. I am very pleased with how it all turned out.
I also have been asked about the paint color on the wall. It is called "sweet melon" by valspar at Lowes.
