"Dear Birth Mom" Letter
We did it! We finally wrote THE letter. In the past, most adoption agencies would refer to this letter as a "Dear Birth Mom" letter. However, they are now encouraging hopeful adoptive couples to use "Dear Expectant Parent(s)". When we began our letter though, neither of those addresses felt right. We tried "Dear Friend", "Hey There", "Hello", "Howdy" and still nothing felt right. So we addressed it like this.... "Every family has a story... Welcome to Ours". So HERE it is. I hope they feel a connection to us. We can't wait to meet them :-)
