Open Adoption#2- Meet Jamison!

Our family has grown!!! December 17, 2011 our new little guy entered the world. Sorry its taken me so long to update our blog. We have been super busy adjusting to our new life and we wanted to just enjoy Jamison to the fullest :-) We documented our adoption journey while we were in Utah waiting for his arrival. Some parts are pretty emotional :-( Adoption is just super emotional. I don't know what I would have done without my "adoption doulas" supporting me along the way. Her is how it went :-)

Before Jamison was born, I thought adoption would be easier this time due to the fact that I have already been down the adoption road before. However, it was just as hard if not harder. There were times of joy and pain, smiles and tears, and lots and lots of guilt. As the adoptive parents you feel like the bad guy. You blame yourself for the pain you see your babys birth family in. I knew I felt pain but it didn't even come close to the amount of pain his Birthmom was feeling. We love her so much. We are so incredibly grateful for her and we think of her every single day. I wonder how she is doing and if she is at peace with her decision. Does she still "hate" us? Her and I are friends on facebook so I can see her living her life again. I love seeing pictures of her having fun and enjoying things she loves. I am grateful that she allows us to be a part of her life. Open adoption is so amazing!!!

Jamison is now 8 weeks old. He is doing great! He is so loved by so many people. I talk to his Amazing Birthmom often and she is doing well. I miss her! We are planning on going back to Utah in April to visit her.
